Slavoj Zizek

Zizek lahir pada 21 Maret 1949.

Ia belajar filsafat di Universitas Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Dari kampus tersebut, ia mendapatkan gelar sarjana pada tahun 1971.

Selain itu, ia juga meraih gelar magister pada tahun 1975 dan doktor pada tahun 1981 di kampus yang sama.

Pada tahun 1970, kajian filsafatnya berfokus kepada Mazhab Frankfurt yang membentuk kritik psikoanalitik terhadap Marxisme.

Pada akhir 1970an, ia mulai mengkaji teori psikoanalitik Jacques Lacan.

Ia kemudian belajar psikoanalisis di Universitas Paris VIII.

Dari kampus tersebut, ia kembali mendapatkan gelar doktor pada tahun 1985.

Pada tahun 1980an, ia aktif di oposisi demokratis terhadap rezim sosialis independen Yugoslavia, yang Slovenia saat itu menjadi bagiannya.

Ia membantu mendefinisikan orientasi teoritis dari banyak aktivis mahasiswa, memperkenalkan motif dari idealisme Jerman (subjek disertasi doktoralnya yang pertama), strukturalis Prancis Marxisme (khususnya karya Louis Althusser), dan psikoanalisis Lacanian.

Pada tahun 1990an, ia dipercaya sebagai profesor tamu di berbagai kampus di Eropa dan Amerika. (1)

Setelah era pandemi berakhir, Zizek memprediksi bahwa dunia terpaksa menganut sistem komunisme baru.

Meskipun sistem kapitalisme bekerja dengan kuat melawan pandemi, masyarakat diam-diam mengakui cara China mengendalikan wabah.
