Cha Tae Hyun

TRIBUNEWSWIKI.COM - Cha Tae Hyun adalah seorang aktor sekaligus penyanyi asal Korea Selatan yang lahir di Seoul, 25 Maret 1976 dan bernaung di bawah agensi Blossom Entertainment.

Dia memulai karier aktingnya di drama televisi KBS pada 1995. Ia tampil dalam film pertamanya, Hallelujah, pada tahun 1997, juga membuat debutnya sebagai penyanyi pada tahun 2001.

Secara internasional, dia dikenal karena memerankan tokoh protagonis dalam film komedi romantis tahun 2001 "My Sassy Girl", Scandal Makers (2008) dan Hello Ghost (2010) serta serial televisi Jeon Woo-chi (2012) dan The Producers (2015).

Sejak 2012, ia bagian dari pemain dalam acara varietas 2 Days & 1 Night. 

Cha Tae Hyun juga merupakan co-founder agensi manajemen bakat Blossom Entertainment.

Pada 1 Juni 2006, setelah berpacaran selama 13 tahun, Cha Tae Hyun menikahi pujaan hatinya semasa sekolah, yang merupakan penulis lirik pop, Choi Suk-eun.

Mereka memiliki tiga anak, seorang putra (Cha Soo-chan) dan dua orang putri (Cha Tae-eun, Cha Su-jin).

Pada tahun 2016, Cha Tae Hyun berperan dalam My New Sassy Girl, sebuah sekuel dari film hit pada tahun 2001.

Namun, film tersebut tidak mampu menyamai pendahulunya dan mengalami kegagalan di box office.

Pada tahun yang sama, ia bertemu kembali dengan co-star My Sassy Girl, Jun Ji-hyun dalam sebuah penampilan cameo di drama SBS, The Legend of the Blue Sea.

Pada tahun 2017, ia berperan dalam serial komedi romansa Because I Love You, dimana film tersebut kembali diproduksi oleh adiknya Cha Ji-hyun.

Ia juga berperan dalam film blockbuster fantasi With God, yang diangkat dari webtoon berjudul sama dari Joo Ho-min.

Pada tahun 2020, ia bermain dalam drama “Team Bulldog: Off-Duty Investigation” yang ditayangkan oleh OCN.

Ia dikabarkan akan kembali membintangi drama berjudul "Police Academy" yang rencananya akan tayang pada bulan Juli 2021 bersama Krystal Jung dan Jung Jin Young.
