Pada 2001, Seo Hyun Jin debut bersama girl grup M.I.L.K yang merupakan grup di bawah label SM Entertainment. (2)
Dua tahun kemudian, grup milik Seo Hyun Jin dikabarkan bubar.
Seo Hyun Jin pun memulai karier di dunia musik dengan debut sebagai penyanyi solo.
Pada 2006, Seo Hyun Jin memulai akting dengan membintangi drama musikal.
Seo Hyun Jin kemudian debut dalam sebuah drama berjudul 'Love Me Not' dan 'Hwang Jini'.
Setelah itu, Seo Hyun Jin kemudian terus mendapatkan tawaran drama Korea.
Pada 2010, Seo Hyun Jin menjadi pemain utama dalam film berjudul Magic.
Berbagai penghargaan telah didapat Seo Hyun Jin berkat aktingnya.
Seo Hyun Jin kembali menjadi pemeran utama dalam beberapa drama seperti Temperature of Love (2017) dan The Beauty Inside (2018).
Pada 2019, Seo Hyun Jin berperan dalam drama 'Black Dog'.
