Black Eyed Peas

TRIBUNNEWSWIKI.COM - The Black Eyed Peas (BEP) merupakan grup musik hip hop asal Amerika Serikat.

Band ini tepatnya dibentuk di Los Angeles, California.

Band ini terdiri dari  Will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo dan Fergie.

Fergie menjadi anggota band pada tahun 2002.

Album Black Eyed Peas di antaranya Behind the Front (1998), Bridging the Gap (2000), Elephunk (2003), Monkey Business (2005) dan From Roots To Fruits (2007).

Melalui album-albumnya diperkirakan Black Eye Peas telah berhasil menjual 20 Juta album dan singles di seluruh dunia.

The Black Eyed Peas dibentuk pada 1988, saat William James Adams Jr. (Will.i.am) dan Allan Pineda (apl.de.ap), tampil bersama di Los Angeles.

Walaupun saat itu dirinya masih memakai nama trio Atban Klann bersama Dante Santiago, dan dimanajeri oleh Eazy-E.

Setelah kematian manajernya karena menderita AIDS, nama Atban Klann berubah The Black Eyed Peas.

Sedangkan Jaime Luis Gómez biasa dikenal Taboo bergabung dengan The Black Eyed Peas di tahun1995.

Pada 2003, The Black Eyed Peas tampil dengan Stacy Ann Ferguson (Fergie) sebagai feature vokal.

Ini sekaligus mengganti Kim Hill yang awalnya sebagai background singer mundur pada tahun2000.(1)
