Ayah Rachelle Lefevre berprofesi sebagai seorang guru dan ibunya merupakan seorang psikolog.

Namun ia diketahui memiliki tiga orang sudara kandung.

Semasa muda, Rachelle Lefevre menempuh pendidikan di Centennial Academy.

Berikutnya, ia melanjutkan pendidikannya di creative aer di Dawson College.

Rachelle Lefevre tercatat pernah belajar teater selama dua musim panas di Walnut Hill School, di Natick, Massachusetts.

Kemudian Rachelle Lefevre mengejar gelar pendidikan dan sastra di McGill University.

Semasa masih duduk di bangku sekolah menengah, Rachelle Lefevre bekerja sebagai pelayan restoran di sebuah restoran sushi lokal.

Suatu ketika, ia berbiacara tentang keinginannya untuk menjadi aktris kepada rekan kerjanya.

Rupanya, percakapan tersebut didengar oleh seorang pelanggan yang kebetulan seorang produser film di Kanada.

Kemudian pria tersebut menyarankan Rachelle Lefevre untuk mengikuti casting yang sedang diadakan oleh temannya. (1)

Pada akhirnya, Rachelle Lefevre berhasil menemui sutradara yang dimaksud pada 1999.

Kemudian ia mengikuti audisi untuk tampil dalam 'Big Wolf on Campus'.

Sebenarnya, Rachelle Lefevre mendapatkan peran pertamanya di Montreal.

Akan tetapi kala itu ia mendapatkan peran yang kurang dalam berbahasa Inggris.

Hal itu membuatnya memutuskan untuk pindah ke Los Angeles.

Di Los Angeles, Rachelle Lefevre mulai sukses mendapatkan berbagai peran, baik di layar kaca maupun layar lebar.

Pada tahun 2002, Rachelle Lefevre tampil dalam film 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' yang disutradarai George Clooney. (1)

Dalam film tersebut ia bermain peran sebagai Victoria Sutherland.

Ia juga membintangi film Reclaim (2014) sebagai Shannon.

Dalam film tersebut, ia beradu peran dengan John Cusack dan Ryan Phillippe.
